Anyways, I'm offering one each - from the regular Autumn/Winter Idea Book, and from the Holiday Guide. (See previous post for link to Holiday Guide)

They're in mid-to-late November.

Deadline for registering is Tues., 11/12 (after Veterans' day).

The "Frosted" Cards Workshop-On-The-Go (WOTG) is a 15-card/3-design kit created by CTMH, complete w/ card blanks, paper & cardstock, embellishments, a full-color instructional brochure, & an exclusive stamp set. ($24.95 +S/H & Tx)

Order this online, and you're registered for the class. (Just tell me which date you want!)

Add one other WOTG to your order, and you'll very nearly qualify for the Stampset Of The Month (SOTM) discount!

****** SPARKLE N SHINE ******

The "Sparkle N Shine" Cards Workshop was designed by CTMH to be a quick, 10-card/2-design project. You can register 2 ways....

You can choose to order the complete set of materials needed (approx. $54 +S/H & Tx) -- for example: the entire paper pack, plus a whole roll of ribbon, plus the stamp set, plus the ink pads ... you get the picture! (Anything you already have, of course you don't order it.) This is great if you want to complete the project on your own, plan to make extra cards with your leftovers, or just want to build up your stash (really??). Plus, ordering the full list would automatically qualify you for the SOTM discount.

Because ... there's the other way!

You can just buy one of my basic Class Supply Kits ($15 fee). I'll even pre-cut your kit ... for a price, of course! Bwa-hahaha! (Really. I'm serious. Get your kit pre-cut for just $5. Only 50c more per card, and no cutting hassle.)

Tentative dates will be ...

Fri 11/22 (morning or evening),
Sun 11/24 (afternoon),

Sat 11/30 (early afternoon), 
Sun 12/1 (afternoon).

Probably each weekend will include one class from each of the 2 themes (Frosted or Sparkle). I'm not sure what y'all (Dear Readers) would prefer, so I'd love input on which cards & times work best for you. Probably the 1st paid registrant gets dibs!

Autumn Update

Hello, Dear Reader (if you are there),
Are you ready for Halloween?
Goodness, it really has been a while since my last post! Let's see, what's been going on?

We had a fun time trying out different stamp choices at the "For Always" card kit workshop. I still have a few of those cards left to complete! I also enjoyed seeing the results of the "Canvas Art Kit Clinic". (That name was fun to come up with.)

Also since the last post, two FREE crops have come & gone. Have you come to our "4th Saturday Craft N Scrap Group"? Did I mention it's FREE? Well actually we do try to bring canned food donations, and occasionally (like this past week) someone donates a little to the church. But otherwise, it's totally free. And guess what, you don't even have to scrap or make cards, tho' plenty of our ladies do!

Yup, participants also have sorted photos (both digital & paper), addressed Christmas cards, painted, created journals, & drawn pictures. Most recently there was a project involving pumpkins and feathers. Yeah, you read that correctly. Fortunately, there were no flying pumpkins involved! And certainly no Smashing Pumpkins. (*waits for cultural reference to register*)

Here's another autumn update - the newest Close To My Heart catalog finally came out this month!

It's a mini-Holiday Guide to supplement our Autumn/Winter Idea Book, with new, shiny papers plus stamps & projects. I'm offering a card workshop from each of these 2 catalogs in mid/late November, and the deadline for registering will be Tues. 11/12 (after Veterans' Day). (I'm working on the post AS WE SPEAK!) LOL.

Meanwhile, you can see the Holiday Guide online (nice zoom feature to view details), or contact me so I can share one of my hard copies with you! I also still have copies of the current Autumn/Winter Idea Book, which is valid through Jan 31, so let me know if you'd like to check that one out as well. (Bonus - any $100 order of product from either catalog lets you pick a starred item from the holiday guide for free!)

CREATIVE CARDS WORKSHOP "Chantilly"
10/15 Tues 10am - 4pm
9 different cards & 1 gift-card-sized box
$30 fee due 10/1 includes lunch & most supplies

Create a bright, cheerful set of cards for yourself or for a friend! (Photo coming soon!)
We'll be stamping, cutting up the Chantilly paper pack (I'll pre-cut a few pieces for you), using the Cricut, & blending with CTMH Alcohol-based Markers. (You take home a pair of markers: 2 variations on one hue!)

Required: (you need to bring these)
Basic Tool Kit (details in blog sidebar) 
Specific adhesives needed:

• Tape Runner (like Tombow)
• Adhesive Dots (like Glue Dots)
• 3-D Foam Tape
• Glue Pen

Recommended: 12" Cricut Mat if you have one

Optional:
MyAcrylix Stampset of sentiments for inside greeting cards (Examples Here)

- Alcohol Markers! Ever used them? My stamping buddy & I have been working out the details of  this card workshop using Close To My Heart's alcohol markers, a new product for both of us. I'm excited to put it in the calendar at last! Bonus - Take home a pair of markers from the class!

(Note: This was a 2-part series, but I'm putting it all into one 6-hr session, so we'll be done in a day! Price reduced by $5 for one less lunch.)

Something new I’ve been learning - the Cricut Craft Room software (free download from Cricut). Have you tried it? You link your cartridges to your laptop (Use USB to connect to your Cricut) & then play with images from multiple cartridges (skew, scale, rotate, weld, stack...) before cutting them out. 

Besides being crazy fun, this resource can make it so much easier to deal with previously tedious cutting guides for projects with lots of pieces. We tried it in my August "For Always" Cards Workshop and it saved cutting time. The drawback was peeling the pieces off the so-sticky mats I'd just bought!! 
We had so much fun experimenting with different stamps in this 15-card workshop that the class was extended to September. You can join us for Part 2 on Tues., 9/17 if you register by 9/6 and attend Part 1 on 9/16. OR -  

You can take the encore class 10/3 and 10/10  - $30 DUE Thurs 9/19!!

- You probably know that I have a new nephew! He's the reason for the theme of my Scrapbooking Workshop this month: "Babycakes"! This paper pack is a natural for baby memories, but flipping a couple of papers over makes it perfect to celebrate my 3-year-old nephew's arrival "Fresh from Heaven" this summer. 

Add our black chalkboard paper & chalk marker, and "voila" - a back-to-school layout! The browns, yellows, & oranges are also great for highlighting memories of summer, fall, outdoors, & more.

Hey there :)

So... (*blushes*) ...it's been over a month since last posting. Have you been busy, too? Apparently there's less time in the day than I thought. Ever feel that way?

I hope that amid the busy-ness, you've found -made?- time to unleash your creative side. I'm lucky enough to have a stamping buddy (my mom!) who encourages me & gives me incentive to make space in my schedule for that creative time. More about what we've been working on later.
