Woo Hoo! I've got some free time coming up for creative endeavors!
You'd think the top thing on my creative to-do list would be something creative... but no, the FIRST step I need to take in the creative process is to CLEAN MY DESK!!!
Now, the "stuff" on my desk isn't just junk. In fact, I can see that part of the "stuff" is an unfinished card. Not just any card, either, but an important one!
Oh, wait -- actually, I can't see that card, because it's covered by a tote containing some stuff I brought back from a crop. Also, it's blocked from view by some other stuff that I set down in plain sight, to make sure it would LEAVE the room instead of cluttering it up...
In the nice, just-my-size chair where I'd like to sit, is a tote with a nearly completed card set that just needs a finishing touch or two... On the desk is a lovely box full of not-quite completed cards... Oh yeah, and (somewhere) in the rolling tote next to the chair is another half-finished card. (ouch, that one's important too...)
And these are just the projects which have merited enough attention to achieve maximum proximity to the desk top!
By the time I sit down to a clear space, a good chunk of my available "creating time" has disappeared. As a result, I tend to get through only part of the project... Leading me to leave the project out in plain view, in hopes that I will soon sit down to finish it... Only to begin the nasty cycle anew!
Looks like tomorrow morning I need to have a quick decluttering session with my timer (God bless you, FlyLady)! Then hopefully I'll dive into this pool of pending projects (don'tcha love alliteration?) and return to the surface with something creative & FINISHED to show for my efforts!
Do your creative tools or projects get in the way of actually creating?
I hope your next "creative endeavor" is a productive one!
Blessings...

Practicing consistency...
(I am trying to post a little bit, often, to practice consistency. So here are some photos that caught my eye!)
For a recent b-day I made a football field cake with someone's favorite team mascot front & center! It turned out pretty well if I do say so myself!
Now this is the card for that birthday. Used stamps and my new Cricut. The only Cricut image is the football, though! Don't worry, the Cricut gets used for lots more stuff than just that. :)
Here's the inside of the card. See, there's more Cricut stuff! I love how it can cut a shadow of your image so you can mat it!
OK, that's all for today. Trying to memorize my password! Also last time I changed the colors & background so the page is easier on the eye. Don't know about you, but there's a limit to how much Rosy Mauve & Maroon I can take!
Blessings...

Try again...
Guess what...
It's not as easy as I thought!
Now I'll try to add a little something every day.
Today I added a couple "gadgets".
Tomorrow - The MOON!
OK, maybe not.
:)
Blessings...
